Dymondia margaretae, also known as 'Dymondia', is a low-growing evergreen ground cover plant that is native to South Africa. It is prized for its striking silver-green foliage and its ability to form a dense mat that effectively suppresses weed growth.
The leaves of 'Dymondia' are narrow and oblong-shaped, measuring about 1 inch in length, and are covered in fine white hairs that give them a silvery appearance. The foliage grows close to the ground, forming a dense mat that can reach up to 1-2 inches in height.
This plant is highly drought-tolerant and requires minimal watering once established. It prefers full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil. The 'Dymondia' ground cover is an excellent choice for rock gardens, borders, and between pavers, where its low-growing habit and hardy nature can help to prevent soil erosion.
In addition to its attractive foliage, 'Dymondia' also produces small, yellow daisy-like flowers that bloom in the summer months. The flowers are not the main attraction of this plant, but they do add a touch of color to the landscape.
Overall, Dymondia margaretae 'Dymondia' is a hardy and low-maintenance ground cover plant that adds a beautiful silver-green accent to any garden or landscape. Its dense mat and drought-tolerant nature make it an ideal choice for areas with limited water availability or where low maintenance landscaping is desired.

I ordered 75 flats of dymondia and 8 "Little Ollie" olive bushes for a client recently. They are beautiful specimens and Peter, who delivered them was very helpful with recommendations as to their best planting care. Thank you. I will definitely order from you again!

The flats arrived as scheduled and looked great. Everyone of them appeared healthy and alike so planting them next to each other will create an even and consistent look. A perfect ground cover for my backyard.

I live on a corner and have more than my fair share of park-strip to maintain. This good looking and durable plant is perfect for my needs. Looks great (once it grows in), low water needs, step-able, and easy to keep all the tree-droppings cleared off either with a blower or a light rake. The flats I picked up today were full, healthy and ready to plant. Thank you guys for putting up with all my questions before I picked up the plants today and Thank you for helping me load my car and with all the great information and advice.
